 100/100

Bless 2020 with a farewell party!

💗 K.

~Happy New Year everyone!! It's here! The last day of this epic year, and the last of my 100 nature-inspired creations. I have LOVED connecting with you in this way. This project has turned my year around and I feel so ready for 2021. Thank you for following along and for all your comments of encouragement and love, they mean everything to me. May you be a thousand times blessed in the new year and beyond.

 099/100

Bless 2020 for seeds planted.

💗 K.

~It will always amaze me that a tiny acorn can grow into a mighty Oak tree. With nourishing soil, water, sunlight, and care, it grows! The same is true for us. Take something from this year, maybe a whisper of an idea, and plant it. Nurture it going forward and see how high you can climb.

 098/100

Bless 2020, so that you're ready for 2021.

💗K.

~We've got to let go, or we'll carry the weight of one year into the next. Tomorrow is the last full moon of the year. What perfect timing! The full moon is the best time to release what no longer serves, and any residual angst or darkness from 2020 can take a hike. We don't need it, it doesn't serve us going forward.

 97/100

Love 2020 for the stories we will tell.

💗 K.

~Just as we can choose our response to every day, we can choose how to remember a difficult year. Generations will come after us who will want to know how we prevailed, how we came together, how we loved each other through a dark time.

Sunday, December 27, 2020

 096/100

Bless 2020 for the projects we started and the satisfaction of their completion.

💗K.

~I am feeling emotional as this #100daysproject draws to a close. It has meant more to me than you know to greet you all every day with a newly designed nature inspired mandala. I have been in the woods, near rivers, at the edge of cliffs, under trees, beside roads, once near a shopping center, and many times within earshot of my beloved Lake Superior. I have five days remaining, and I am already missing this heart filled creative endeavor.

 095/100

Love 2020 for family, dogs, lefse, grade school ornaments, presents, knit stockings, prime rib, even lutefisk! Love 2020 for another Christmas full of memories.

💗K.

 094/100

Merry Christmas 2020!!

💗 K.

~No matter where you are, and who is at your table (or smiling through Zoom) may today remind you that the world still holds magic, still holds moments of joy. I send all my heartfelt blessings to you and yours. Happy Holidays everyone!

 093/100

Love 2020. Find one wonderful thing that makes you smile. Let it keep you company all day long.

💗 K.

~My son and I are snowed in. He's currently eating bacon while watching Good Morning America. One. Wonderful. Thing. And it's everything.

 092/100

Bless 2020 with a healing. Inhale love for yourself, exhale love for the world.

💗 K.

~Today's meditation in Sarah Seidelmann's fantastic book, How Good Are You Willing To Let It Get, inspired me to create this heart mandala. I encourage all of you to get Sarah's book. Every day is a different meditation on life, and a gentle instruction to live a life filled with blessing.

 091/100

Bless 2020 by building a snowman!!

💗 K.

~I promised myself that I would build these mandalas with natural found materials, and I found this snowman! Isn't she perfect?! This whimsical friendly face watches over a local playground and was surrounded by little boot prints. I gave her acorn buttons and a left eye before finishing my Christmas shopping. So much fun!

 089/100

Love 2020 in its final days.

💗 K.

~As we get closer and closer to the end of this year, I'm feeling a peace within me. Looking back, so much magic has come into my life through all the upheaval. I am optimistic that we have become better people through the struggle.

 088/100

Bless 2020 by fixing only what really needs fixing and embracing all the rest. With love. Always with love.

💗 K.

~There's only so much we can do. We have the most influence over ourselves--our hearts and minds--where we choose to put our energy. We may think that we're broken and need to be fixed, but in reality our glorious uniqueness is what makes us human, worthy of all the love, and perfectly imperfectly us.

 087/100

Bless 2020 for its beautiful messes.

💗 K.

~I had plans for this mandala today. It wasn't supposed to look like this, but the gusts of wind, and my frozen fingers, had other ideas. We can't always control everything, and sometimes we need to showcase reality--give it love and attention. So here it is. Day 87. Thirteen days left of the year 2020.

 086/100

Bless 2020 by rearranging the furniture.

💗 K.

~ You've heard it said...tidy up even one small corner of a room, even one junk drawer, and the energy of your life can shift. Last night I took down all my books, dusted the shelves, and now I'm putting back only the ones that (as Marie Kondo says) bring me joy.

085/100

Bless 2020 by making a list, and checking it twice...or three times...or four times.

💗 K.

~My Mom is a master list maker. She has been this way as long as I can remember. There is always a clipboard with paper on her kitchen counter. Thank you Mom for passing this oh so helpful practice on to me. 😄

084/100

Bless 2020 with poetry.

A blanket of white
Covers a grey, brown landscape
Of hibernation

 083/100

Bless 2020 by rereading your favorite faerie tale.

💗 K.

~Giants and witches, magic spells and towers, glass slippers and poison apples. These old stories hold universal struggles and triumphs and may help us make sense of this year--if only from the eyes of our wise inner child. Fe-fie-fo-fum.

Sunday, December 13, 2020

082/100

Love 2020 for frozen lakes, ice fishing, one Northern caught, and an afternoon with family and friends.

💗 K.

Saturday, December 12, 2020

081/100

Embrace 2020 by exploring at night.

💗 K.

~I talk a lot about the sun, and the promise of a new day, but there is something comforting about the embrace of darkness when I'm in the right mood. The whole world changes. I know how fortunate I am to live where I can escape the city with its light and sound. I hope you are able to find the dark quiet near you as well.

 080/100

Bless 2020 by setting the table for what's next.

💗 K.

~We have just twenty days left in this year. Twenty days to close the book and start a new chapter. I have been thinking about this a lot lately, how can I best ready myself. Yes it's just a number, and January 1st is just another day, but this feels different and I want to honor that.

Thursday, December 10, 2020

 079/100

Bless 2020 by greeting the morning.

💗 K.

~Every day I try to step outside for a few moments with the sunrise. There's something magical about a new day dawning.

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

 078/100

Bless 2020 with your fashion sense.

💗 K.

~Pull out that hat that makes you smile, a scarf that's a little too bold, or your favorite t-shirt from 1984 (yes I still have mine), and wear it with pride. Bring on the whimsy! Show us what you've got.

Tuesday, December 8, 2020

 077/100

Love 2020 for its lessons.

💗 K.

~This can be hard to do. I don't always want to LEARN things, GROW, or EVOLVE. Uff da. It's exhausting. But say what you want, this year has been full to the brim with opportunities to stretch ourselves, test our patience and courage. We are being pushed to the far edges of our limits and finding we can still stand strong. We're doing this!

Monday, December 7, 2020

 076/100

Bless 2020 by doing an activity you have always loved--one that has never failed to bring you joy.

💗 K.

~Today I take to the trail. It's been far too long since I've traversed the Superior Hiking Trail near my home. Amongst the trees time bends and bows and this year is like any other.

Sunday, December 6, 2020

075/100

Bless 2020 by remembering what is good. Time with my kids, a new author discovered, a sunrise swim.

💗 K.

~This year has been full of some beautiful moments, just as every year, every day really, holds gifts for us. It's hard not to focus on all we have lost, or all that has changed in 2020, but like life, there is light cutting through the darkness.

Saturday, December 5, 2020

074/100

Love 2020 because we're all in this together.

💗 K.

~Today is a hard day to stay positive for me. Some days are like that. Can you relate? I don't know what I would do without family and friends who are there for me, cheering me up, keeping me going. I hope I can be that for someone else, because without each other, the world is an awfully lonely place.

Friday, December 4, 2020

073/100

Bless 2020 by mourning its losses.

💗 K.

~ Ignoring pain and sadness gives it a place to hunker down and fester and we don't want that. We have lost people, human touch, predictability, our sense of safety. We honor our losses when we attend to them, when we pause, let the feelings flow, and breathe.

Thursday, December 3, 2020

072/100

Love 2020 because LOVE elevated conquers fear.

💗 K.

~Pouring love into any situation changes it from heavy and dark to buoyant and light. This doesn't mean running around like a Pollyanna in denial of the real, frightening and challenging realities we are facing, it means facing them bravely with our hearts open and our heads held high. Elevated.

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

071/100

Bless 2020. Carpe diem.

💗 K.

~Thank you to the Roman poet Horace (and Professor John Keating aka Robin Williams) for this simple instruction to "Seize the Day".

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

070/100

Bless 2020 by being resolute in your commitments, especially to the yearnings of your heart.

💗 K.

~Wouldn't it be great to look back on this year and be able to say, "2020 was the year I went for it! That's when I started _________." You've still got thirty days to make a start on that idea, goal, or dream. I believe you can do it!
